Scallop-shell poppies for Remembrance Day 2022

Painting Poppies for Remembrance Day 2022

The project I would like to submit is not run of the mill, veterans at Battling On a veteran based not for profit community group created over 600 scallop-shell poppies for Remembrance Day 2022. These handmade poppies were made from locally sourced Cornish scallop shells and were hand. In total the veterans made over 600 poppies, they also made silhouettes of soldiers and a war horse as part of a display for Remembrance Sunday.

Their hard work and determination earned them a spot-on BBC Spotlight evening news on Remembrance Day, and a prominent role on CountryFile aired on 13.11.22

The veterans also created wreaths with these scallop-shell poppies, and they were placed at Plymouth Hoe, as a centerpiece at the Cornish County Hall, and one was sent on the Routes of Remembrance train up to Paddington station.

decorative gloss - One coat black enamel to freshen up the Gates and railings at Balmoral Castle for the Queen's jubilee.

Painting gates and railings at Balmoral Castle

We used Regal Paints one coat black enamel to freshen up the Gates and railings at Balmoral Castle for the Queen’s jubilee. Little did we know what was going to happen later on in the year, gates were never off the TV. We also used the same coating for new railings around Ballater memorial, again on the TV often after the Queens passing. A few photos attached of both scopes.

Home Garage DIY Project

Home Garage DIY Project

A few years ago when the garage extension was built I applied a single coat of garage floor paint bought from a local DIY store, direct to the concrete floor. This soon started to lift with the car being driven in and out of the garage.

More recently I decided I want to re-do the floor as it looked a mess. After a lot of research I concluded that I needed to remove the old paint with a concrete grinder which I hired c/w dust extractor. I also concluded that the best way to go was to prime the now bare concrete floor and apply a proper 2 pack epoxy floor paint finished with a clear coat to get the shiny professional finish I wanted and also for extra protection.

Anti-slip Quick Dry Concrete Floor Paint for our daughter’s garage

Anti-slip Quick Dry Concrete Floor Paint for Daughter’s Garage

We applied two coats and the difference it made was absolutely unbelievable – it turned a bare concrete floor into an anti-slip area to enable her to use some lifting equipment safely. It’s brilliant paint and anyone who uses this will be extremely glad that they did.

There are so many paints on the market claiming to do all sorts of things but your paint does exactly what is says on the tin. It was 48 hours of productive heaven…

Painting an aircraft hanger floor

Painting an aircraft hanger floor

The Hooton Park Trust purchased Regal Prime and Seal and Light Grey Polyurethane Floor paint for the first part of it exhibition hall in a 1917 built Belfast Truss aircraft hangar. Building 16 south bay which measures 150ft x 80ft is the first part of the project. We have since purchased both types in anticipation of opening up the second identical area in the north bay. Since painting we have started to fill the hall with aircraft exhibits and have also held a classic car auction in the building. We have been very pleased with the product which was easy to apply and requires very little upkeep and is wearing well even in the areas which get the footfall from visitors.

SHIPPING CONTAINER REFURBISHMENT LIGHT GREY PAINT

Shipping Container Refurbishment by Jackson Painting

Joe tagged us in his Instagram post and we love his shipping container refurbishment project. His before and after photographs show how good a shipping container can look after a coat of Regal Skip and Container Paint! Over the last few years there has been a surge in the use of shipping containers in a business and domestic setting. With their strong structural qualities as well as being quite spacious, we have seen many containers repurposed for use as garden buildings and man-caves, pain-cave home-gyms, secure self-storage and even turned into shipping container shelters and homes.
